Considered as one of the best 60" molded planes on the market. Produced in the Czech Republic, this plane has already taken off in Europe and the USA and has proven itself to be one of the fastest slope planes in its class and incredible to fly both front side and dynamic soar with no bad flying habits. The finish of this plane is as good as they come.
To ensure hairline accuracy of the profile, shape and finish, the wing is laid into negative moulds that were designed with the use of CAD/CAM then CNC cut. Wing skins are a sandwich of glass and herex with the carbon versions coming with a strong full carbon lay-up. All control surfaces have wipers with live top hinged ailerons and bottom hinged flaps (carbon version only). Recessed areas in the wing allow for easy installation of servos, with mould ed servo covers giving a clean finish to the wing.
The fuselage was designed to allow much easier installation of radio gear and it is not necessary to use micro-RC equipment for the control of the model, unlike some 60" gliders. The removable carbon canopy, with latch pre-installed, allows easy access to the radio gear. The fuselage is either a strong glass lay-up or carbon / kevlar lay-up. Wing bolts, push rods and ballast tube are already done at the factory with ballast tube being accessed from the wing saddle on the fuse.
The V-tail surfaces, complete with wipers, have ball linkages already installed. The accessories pack comes complete with wing bolts, custom servo covers, brass control horns for the wing and hex key for the wing bolts.
The glass version of the Bird Slope has a strong glass fuselage and aileron only glass wing, with aileron / flap version available by special order. The carbon version features carbon / kevlar fuselage and full carbon wing with ailerons and flaps as standard. Colors available are include combinations of white, yellow, red and blue.
